Shirin Mozaffari earned his Ph.D. in physics from The University of Texas at Austin in Dec. 2017, where she worked on transport properties of oxides interfaces, epitaxial growth of materials, and superconductivity. Shen then got a postdoctoral position at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory in Tallahassee, FL, and studied the bulk Fermi surface of topological semimetals through quantum oscillations under high magnetic fields, and she also studied high temperature superconductivity. Shirin joined the group of Dr. Mandrus in late 2020 as a postdoctoral. Shirin has experience in synthesizing single crystals, and she studies the electric and magnetic properties of topological materials by methods such as torque magnetometry.
